New brief, new inspiration

Moulin Rouge

Directed by Baz Luhrmann

Main actors: Nicole Kidman, Ewan McGregor

The storyline is: In 1889 a writer from England goes to live in Paris, he becomes part of a bohemian culture which is complicated and eccentric. He falls in love with a courtesan who is forbidden to fall in love. Throughout the film they attempt to hide their love from a Duke, who has asked for Satines exclusive attention in return for the deeds to the Moulin Rouge. The Duke is deceived for some time but eventually the couple are discovered. It ends in tragedy.

I chose this film because it's vibrant and eccentric. The costumes are memorable and flamboyant as are the musical elements of the film. I love all the drama I mean, life is one big drama right?
