Spring Summer 2013.

This is my final major project/final collection. After alot of hard work I am pleased with the results, which look especially good in these photographs.

Floral, silk, chiffon & tears.

I finally finished my final major project a week ago. I won't bore you all with an in-depth evaluation of it all (well not right now) but here are some pages from my finished sketchbook.

Sneaky Peak

A little sneaky peak at the printed silk scarves I have ordered. Not sure how they'll turn out but if they don't work with my collection I'll just keep them for myself. I love scarves.

Developing.

Alongside my other ventures my collection is still developing nicely. Here's a little sketch to keep you all interested. 

The collection will all be made of natural fibres, mainly silk but it will feature a lovely woollen knit or two and some crisp linen. Designing for Spring/Summer is even more inspiring when it's sunny outside, who wants to be designing for Autumn/Winter right now? Not me. No Siree.

Outfit number one. 

Colours.

Yet again (approximately the 6th time) I have changed my colour palette for my final major project. This is the last time I'm going to change it. So I hope you like it....

Spring/Summer 2012, the couture way.

So far I'm in love with Chanel, Dior & Valli (not hard really is it!!)

I wish I had the time/workforce to create something half as stunning for my Final Major Project.

So pretty, gorgeous colours.

This has similarities to something I've designed for my collection. In terms of
colour, silhouette and fabric choice.

Dior at its best?

This year is Valli's first year showing as an established house. And he
did not disappoint.

LOVE the print.

Same silhouette/colour palette as I have chosen....hmmmm.....it works!

Toile Development.

Here are a few pictures of the first toile I have made for my FMP proposal. 

It has different sleeves because I was experimenting with which one worked best, the netted sleeve (purple) has some stretch to it which allows you to move your arm more freely whereas the chiffon sleeve does not give and therefore needs to fit the arm more loosely if you want to be able to move normally.
