New Discovery.

I have just discovered the artist David Kracov.

Would someone care to explain to me how I didn't know he existed until now? His work basically spells "Christina". The combination of most of my favourite things works wonderfully: rainbow colours, butterflies and 3D artwork. Well, I'm sold.

Here are some examples of what I'm talking about.

"The book of life"

A commission for Coca Cola.

"The butterfly effect"

Spring/Summer 2012, the couture way.

So far I'm in love with Chanel, Dior & Valli (not hard really is it!!)

I wish I had the time/workforce to create something half as stunning for my Final Major Project.

Here's a selection of my favourites. This is by no means all of them.

Volume & Texture to die for.

So pretty, gorgeous colours.

DETAIL.

Just wow.

This has similarities to something I've designed for my collection. In terms of
colour, silhouette and fabric choice.

Literally.just.amazing.

Dior at its best?

This year is Valli's first year showing as an established house. And he
did not disappoint.

LOVE the print.

Same silhouette/colour palette as I have chosen....hmmmm.....it works!

Unexpected inspiration

At work I came across this drawing done by one of the international children, here to learn English in a summer school set up...I found it thought provoking and the illustration is perhaps suprisingly cool.

I must work on some illustrations on my next day off! X
